Yes — that is precisely what it solves. If veterans are being referred for exactly what you do, but the cases stall because the referral arrives without an authorization pathway behind it, the missing piece is the payer relationship. VSN holds that and operates the pathway, along with intake, records collection, authorization tracking, billing, and long-term follow-up. Eligibility for care in the community is determined by VA, not by VSN and not by you, so the network provides the pathway rather than a guarantee that any particular veteran will be authorized.
